Making a Reservation

I do not know the exact dates of check in and check out. Can I still make a reservation?

No, In order to make a reservation with us, we need to have check in and check out dates. (Understandably, the check in date is crucial.)

Can I change the check in date after the reservation has been confirmed?

Yes, you can. However, there may be extra charges.

I am a U.S. resident. Can I have a co-signer?

Depending on your credit history and proof of income during the application, a co-signer option may be offered.

I am a foreign resident and I do not have a social security number. Can I still stay at Vantaggio Suites?

Yes, you will be asked to provide information regarding your immigration (visa) status as well as proof of income. Please be aware that we require a higher deposit for non US citizens and the permanent residents.

What kind of room rentals do you offer?

State St. & Hillcrest: We offer monthly room rentals. We offer various terms of monthly leases.

Can I choose the floor and location of my unit?

No, unfortunately, you cannot. However, you can always make a request and we will try to match it.

What if I want to cancel my reservation?

If reservation is canceled for any reason 3 days after the reservation is confirmed, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee.

Can I cancel my reservation after check in?

There is no cancellation policy applied once you checked in. 30 day notice to vacate is required for monthly stay.

What is Proof of income?

Examples of proof of income accepted can be one of the following:

For: US Citizen and Permanent Residents:

Pay stubs: Last 2 months of paystubs
Job offer letter


And:

Bank Statement: Last 3 months of bank statements

Self-employed workers: The last 3 months of bank statements showing that you have a minimum of 4x the monthly rent as a consistent ending balance. The bank statement must be under your name.

Full time students: We accept student loans, student aid assistance, grants, scholarships etc. as your proof of income. Please call us for more details.

Or, show document(s) that prove you can afford to pay the monthly rent.

For International Applicants:

Bank Statement: If you are applying for less than 3 months, provide the last 3 months bank statements showing that you have a minimum of 4x the monthly rent as a consistent ending balance.
Bank Statement: If you are applying for more than 3 months, provide the last 3 months of bank statements showing that you have a consistent balance of 2x the total rent due for the entire duration of your stay.


Proof of income must be under the applicant’s name who will be staying with us. We do not accept Sponsor’s as proof of income. For International applicant, we will only approve applicants for the length of stay that we verified the proof of income for as above.

Payment

When do I pay?

A $25 application fee and a $100 holding deposit are due at the time of the reservation and will be charged to your credit card. The rest of the charges are due upon check-in.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept cashier’s check, money orders, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard ONLY). We do NOT accept cash or personal checks.

A 3% Service fee will apply for all credit/debit card transactions. ACH payment may
be made beginning of the 2nd month of tenancy.

Can I pay with foreign currency?

No, we only accept payments in U.S. Dollars.

Is the security deposit refundable?

Yes, it is refundable upon or after check out. The security deposit is not returned by cash. It must be refunded by a company check if it is paid by cashier’s check and money orders, and it will be refunded to the same credit card if you paid by credit card.

How much is the security deposit?

State St. & Hillcrest: For US citizens and the permanent residents, we conduct a credit check and the deposit range is from $500.00 to 2 month’s of rent. If you are non US citizen or permanent residents, the deposit starts from “one month of rent”.

Accommodations

How big are the units?

Our Small Studio is approx. 180 sqft., a large and a double room is approx. 220 sqft

Can I use internet in the unit?

Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the building. We also have community PC’s for our guests.

Are utilities included?

Yes, all utilities are included in the rent.

Are the units furnished?

Yes, all our units are furnished.

State St: our units are simply furnished, with twin size or full size beds, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The units are also equipped with a TV, a small fridge and a microwave.

Hillcrest: our units are simply furnished, with a full size bed, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The units are also equipped with a TV, a telephone, a small fridge and a microwave.

Is there a private bathroom in the unit?

Yes, at all locations, all units have a private bathroom.

Is there a kitchen in every unit?

No there is not. We have common kitchen/eating area shared by all residents. A limited number of cooking utensils are provided.

Are linens included?

Yes, they are included.

Is there air conditioning and heating in the unit?

There is no air conditioning but there is heating. Portable air conditioner may be optional at an additional cost (limited availability).

Are pets allowed?

No, we do not accept pets.

Miscellaneous

Is there nearby transportation?

State St. & Hillcrest: Yes, there are a trolley station and bus stops within close walking distance of State Street. For more information about transportation in San Diego, please go to https://www.sdmts.com/.

Do you provide a pick-up service from the airport?

State St. & Hillcrest locations in San Diego: A shared ride is the cheapest and quickest way to get to Vantaggio Suites from the airport. It costs you approx. $15-25 to State St, approx. $20-35 to Hillcrest.

Do you provide breakfast services?

No we don’t provide breakfast services.

Do you have parking spaces?

Yes, we have a parking facility. There is an additional charge of $200 per month or $75 per week for a space. However, our parking spaces are limited and parking reservation is on a first come first served basis.

I am under 18 years old. Can I stay at Vantaggio Suites?

You must be at least 18 years old to stay with us.

Do you have any social networking sites?

Yes, we have a Facebook fan site for San Diego. We update the fan site constantly with our current events, activities and resident photos. Please become a fan.

Can I check in before 3pm?

Our guaranteed check in time is 3pm. However, you can arrive earlier and leave your luggage at the front desk. There are many restaurants within walking distance. We also have a lounge and PC rooms that you are welcome to use before the check in time.

I am planning to check out very early in the morning, can I still check out?

The front desk is open 24 hours. You can check out any time before 11:00 AM.
However, we recommend you to come see us one day before, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM to
finish your paperwork for the check out.

Can I check out late?

Unfortunately, we don’t accept late check out. Our check out time is by 11am. We recommend you to reserve an extra day if you would like to checkout late. However, we can hold your luggage at the front desk for a few hours after your check out if you wish.
